Visiting family, heading into Sheffield for a Christmas night out or simply avoiding the journey home after the party? The Psalter has 20 bedrooms and breakfast for hotel guests seven days a week.

Christmas Day: the hotel remains open on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Breakfast is available to resident guests only; the main bar and restaurant remain closed for the rest of Christmas Day.

When is Brunch with Santa at The Psalter in 2026?

Brunch with Santa takes place on Sunday 13 December and Sunday 20 December 2026. The whole venue will be open for the event and tables are intentionally limited on each date.

How much is Brunch with Santa?

Children are £25 per person, including festive brunch, meeting Santa, a photo opportunity and a personalised Christmas gift. Adults are £20 per person and include the festive brunch.

When are the Christmas wreath-making events?

Christmas Boozy Wreath Making takes place on Friday 27 November 2026 at £75 per person. Festive Wreath Making takes place on Saturday 28 November and Saturday 5 December 2026, both starting at 11am and priced at £50 per person.

What is included in Boozy Wreath Making?

The £75 event includes a guided wreath-making workshop, real moss, seasonal foliage, all materials, your handmade wreath to take home and free-flowing Prosecco throughout the event.

What is included in the Saturday Festive Wreath Making?

The £50 workshop includes guided wreath making using real moss, seasonal foliage and festive materials, plus mulled wine, a mince pie and your finished wreath to take home.

When are the Christmas party menus available?

The current 2026 festive buffet and sit-down party menus are planned from the last week of November until 23 December for groups of 10 or more.

What are the Christmas party prices?

The festive buffet is £27.50 per person. The festive sit-down menu is £25 for one course at lunch, £36 for two courses and £42 for three courses. Drinks tokens are available from £6 per person.

Are you open on Christmas Day?

The hotel remains open on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Breakfast is available for resident hotel guests only. The main bar and restaurant are closed to both residents and non-residents for the remainder of Christmas Day.

What is happening on New Year's Eve?

Our 2026 New Year's Eve offer is still TBC. Details will be published once the restaurant, bar, entertainment and hotel arrangements are agreed.

Can I buy a Psalter gift voucher for Christmas?

Yes. E-vouchers and physical monetary vouchers are available up to £500. They are redeemable against food and drink and are valid for 12 months from purchase, with unused balance remaining available until expiry.
